Here is the list of August Promotions. All members on this list were nominated by fellow players. Underneath each nominated character are the reasons why the character was nominated. Squad Members have been nominated by their Commanding Officers and Commanding Officers have been nominated by the SGB Management. No players, SGB Management or otherwise, were allowed to nominate themselves. All promotions were approved of by the SGB Management and finalized by the GM.

Well, all except one character's promotion was approved by the GM, that is. Course, the GM isn't mentioning any specific character names now... *cough* Malloy *cough*... And it's not like she had a choice in the matter either...

Lieutenant Colonel Eakins is a competent leader for Stargate Beta's flagship team. He doubles as both an Army Ranger leading his Squad and a competent Doctor, aiding in the Infirmary. He handles both jobs with grace. It is my belief that Eakins is overdue for the promotion to the rank of Colonel.

For unswerving dedication in keeping the Alpha missions moving, for not letting death get her down... for long, for always being there to support her fellow team members and CO, and for her constant and unfailing dedication and commitment to running the Stargate Beta RPG and website (through her RL counterpart, Rhi).

For her unselfishness, her helpfulness, her devotion to Gamma Squad and her undying support to her friends. 

For his constant and steady work on the team, for saving his teammate Chrislyn and a reporter from the "bad guys," and for his impressive aim with a snowball ;).

There isn't any one particular post in specific, she has served the squad well and uses medical jargon appropriately. I think she has more than earned the merit mention.

For his leadership, his understanding and his loyalty to his Squad, Adam "Cutter" Rivers has been long over-due for his promotion to the rank of "Major."

Michael Patterson has displayed leadership both on and off the RPG. Actively posting, maintaining the Omega Squad website and making sure all members of the Squad are active participants in SGB, Michael Patterson has earned the rank of Major.

I am nominating Katie for Promotion to the Rank of Captain because she is a dedicated team member, who will go to all lengths to help out fellow team members, and to fulfill her mission. She has taken control and leadership of the Squad when the CO has been taken away from the group by aliens, and has taken the right action's in saving lost team members. Also recently she help 3 species of Aliens, who disliked each other, negotiate to come to peace with each other.

Tyler McLean is one of the hardest working CMO's this Base has! ... Wait, he's the only CMO... You know, that just might be why he's the hardest working...

Tyler is kind to his patients, treating each and every one of them like a friend. He's equally kind to his staff... even when they forget to close his office door, allowing certain silver furry animals to escape in search of ham sandwiches and ice cream. For his knowledge of his profession, his kindness, his friendship, and his baby-sitting skills, Tyler McLean has earned the rank of Lt. Colonel.
