Background:
Born in Santa Rosa, California to Jeanette and William Jackson SR, Wil is the
youngest of four, having one sister (Meredith) and two brothers (Faulkner and
Ben).
His grandparents on his father's side originated from Dusseldorf in Germany, but
they emigrated to the United States when his father was merely five years old,
consequently Wil has known no other upbringing. At school in his hometown of
Santa Rosa, Wil showed an early flair for languages as well as anthropology, far
exceeding the expectations for a child of his age and entering college in the
nearby city of San Francisco way before his peers.
He soon developed a desire to enter the USAF, leaving college with a master's
degree in anthropology and linguistics as well as being fluent in thirteen
languages. He has since added further to that number.
Wil spent his time at the academy furthering his skills as well as learning the
basics in self-defense and other sections of standard USAF training. He then
spent two years in Serbia and another one acting as an Air Force translator in
Peru before moving back to the US and being stationed in Florida. His move to
Colorado Springs followed soon after as the need for his particular area of
expertise increased within Project Bluebook. He was subsequently transferred to
the Beta site in Alaska.

Psychological Profile:
A quiet person initially, Wil has shown an aptitude for tenacity - mainly in
relation to grasping a new language concept, but this same trait will continue
throughout all walks of life - including his work on a field team.
Once initial awkwardness has been overcome, Wil has displayed characteristics
that would suggest an easy-going nature - one complimented by a natural sense of
humor - but his trust is something that only comes with time.
Loyal to a fault, it should be noted that he doesn't appear to suffer fools
gladly and will leap somewhat recklessly to the defense of one he deems the
'under dog' - not necessarily a bad characteristic, but one that merits close
monitoring in the field. |
