Special Training:
Received a B.S. in chemistry from Creighton University, coupled a military
specialization in NBC Weapons Recon.
Background:
Born and raised in a strongly military home, there was little doubt as to what
Josiah Venture would be doing with the rest of his life. His father was a
Colonel in the Air Force. He was a main military consultant to the Boeing plant
in the Saint Louis area, so he also instilled a need for science in his son's
life.
Josiah took quickly to Chemistry in high school, and once he learned that he
could actually go hunting chemical weapons for a living, he quickly picked his
choice of specialization for the Army. He completed FLW Basic training as
solider of the cycle, and went straight into AIT. From there, he differed to
college for four years, working his way through Creighton University via the
ROTC.
However, he found his way back to FLW shortly after graduation. After dealing
with the not-so-disciplined members of the ROTC, he wanted to make sure that he
passed on the need for obedience to as many soldiers as he could. He was a Drill
Sergeant there for two years before being shipped over seas to put his degree
and training into use after the initial strike of the War on Terrorism.
After finishing his tours, he soon found himself back at FLW, this time,
however, as a teacher and a member of the command staff of the fort. He excelled
in his instructions of others of NBC Recon, as well as his new found position as
a man of somewhat authority. From there, he was recruited by Area 111 in Alaska.
Family:
Father: Colonel Matthew Venture, retired
Mother: Mary Venture
Brother: David Venture
Psychological Profile:
Captain Venture is a man of deceptive discipline. He appears laid back and
inclined to let others do as they see fit, however, there is very little doubt
in my mind that he ever lets anything slip out of his control. He has a cool
head under pressure. Even in mass chaos, if there is some sort of order to be
found, he will find it and put it into action.
I am, however, slightly suspicious of his temper. From the reports that he has
written of others, it seems as if he has little to no tolerance of those who do
not obey /direct/ orders from superiors. Obedience in his eyes appears to be a
must, which might cause some conflict if he is placed upon a squad with multiple
civilians who are not used to militaristic ways.
Over all, however, he is a strong candidate for a command position of a
squadron. He has a relatively level head and good sense of general awareness of
his surroundings and ongoing activities. Plus, his knowledge of warfare could
come in very handy, if the need for such actions should arise. |
