Worked for 7 years in Athens Center for Psychological Studies, during which time
he wrote a prize-winning thesis entitled "The Effects of Zero Gravity-Related
Stress on the Human Psyche".
He went on to investigate further theories on this subject, including the
controversial area of interstellar travel and the effects it may have on those
involved which eventually brought him to the attention of Stargate Command and
the Genesis Project.

Personal History:
Niko was born on the island of Crete, just off the Greek coast in 1977. His
mother is Greek and his father is American. He grew up in his mother's country,
attending a local Orthodox school before moving on Athens University. His father
moved back to the USA when he was 14 and Niko hasn't seen him since. Adams has
on older sister who is married with 3 children and a younger brother but his
estranged father also has two further children, Niko’s half brother and sister.
Because of his mixed blood and non-Greek surname, Niko always found childhood
friendships hard to make. It wasn't until he was at the university that his true
nature began to show and he no longer seemed insular.
He has shown that he has an excellent sense of humour and people find him easy
to talk to and relate with. A sociable and easy-going person and natural
listener, makes him an ideal psychologist.
While at university, he was fortunate enough to catch the eye of Dr Yanos
Aristotle, head of the Athens Center for Psychological Studies. Adams passed his
PhD with honours and was immediately offered a place at the Centre working
directly beneath Dr Aristotle. While there, Professor Friederiech Zieschank, a
well-known German expert in the field, saw him and knew he wanted Niko to join
him in Washington. From there, he worked to extend his already wide knowledge
before being approached by the USAF to join Stargate Command at the Beta site.
He has a pet Pug named Milo and a home on the southern coast of Crete.

Psychological Profile:
Nikolai Adams is a stable, well-balanced individual who seems to have the
ability to make people feel at ease. He appears very casual, almost to the point
of seeming uninterested in his work, but that hides a dedicated approach. He has
a tendency to act impulsively and this has put him in danger on several past
occasions. These actions have normally been prompted out a need to help those
working with him (ref Cairo: 1998 - risked life to talk cult group out of mass
murder/suicide attempt, despite being ordered not to do so. Footnote - all
persons survived). This would make it advisable to keep a close watch on similar
situations. Possibly seen as reckless. Shows strong loyal tendencies. Well
